Our Giveback Initiatives

The Made For Locs Foundation was created in response to the need for greater support, resources, and advocacy for individuals who wear locs, particularly in marginalized communities. For many, locs are more than just a hairstyle—they represent cultural heritage, identity, and pride. However, those who wear locs often face discrimination, lack of proper care resources, and limited access to products that cater to their unique needs.
The foundation aims to:
  1. Educate: Provide workshops, seminars, and online resources to educate individuals on the proper care, maintenance, and styling of locs.
  2. Advocate: Partner with schools, workplaces, and community organizations to address discrimination and promote acceptance of natural hair and locs.
  3. Support: Offer scholarships, grants, and mentorship programs to help young people and entrepreneurs within the locs community thrive.
  4. Celebrate Culture: Host events and initiatives that celebrate the cultural significance of locs, encouraging pride and unity within the community.
Through these efforts, the Made For Locs Foundation seeks to create a world where locs are respected, valued, and embraced as a powerful expression of culture and identity.
